Each event, there will be a “guest predictor” who will offer their insight into the event and provide their predictions for each MMA bout.
For Unified MMA 36, Jamie Siraj has stepped in to provide his predictions and analysis for the 10 MMA bouts on the card.
Siraj is the current Unified MMA bantamweight champion after defeating Michael Hay at Unified MMA 35. Siraj holds a 6-2 professional record with other notable wins over Adam MacDougall and Nick Ghaeni. Siraj will step into the cage next at Rise FC 3 where he will take on Gabe Sagman.
Here are Siraj’s predictions for Unified MMA 36:
Pat Pytlik (7-0) vs Jake Lindsey (13-8): FIGHT PREVIEW
“Pytlik is a very exciting prospect that is dangerous wherever the fight goes. He will finish Lindsey and punch his ticket into the UFC.”
Prediction: Pytlik wins by knockout in the first round.
Teddy Ash (12-4) vs Dominique Steele (18-11): FIGHT PREVIEW
“In the second matchup, I think Ash has his hands full again with the seasoned and tough Steele. I think Ash is a solid competitor but I’m a believer experience at the highest level will prevail.”
Prediction: Steele wins by TKO in the second round.
Shane Campbell (16-7) vs Menad Abella (5-1): FIGHT PREVIEW
“Campbell is well-rounded everywhere and very creative and crafty. Having shared the mats with him, I think his experience and high-level skills will allow him to take the very game Abella into deep waters and get the late stoppage.”
Prediction: Campbell wins by TKO in the third round.
KB Bhullar (5-0) vs Derek Boyle (13-12)
“Bhullar has shown a well-rounded skill set in his pro career and I think he will pull over a choke finish.”
Prediction: Bhullar wins by submission in the first round.
Graham Park (5-2) vs Tyler Weran (3-0)
“I think experience will play a factor in this one. Park has wins over Markhaile Wedderburn and Marcus Hicks, both of whom have over 25 fights each.”
Prediction: Park wins by unanimous decision.
Josh Mackenzie (1-0) vs Joel Odorski (1-0)
“Mackenzie showed a lot of grit, tenacity and skill in his first pro fight and I believe he will be too much for Odorski wherever the fight goes.”
Prediction: Mackenzie wins by TKO in the second round.
Aaron Anctil (2-2) vs Matt Klute (3-1)
“Klute has shown he can hang with anyone. He’s come out on top in multiple three-round wars, and comes from a team of killers at Shaved Bears. I think he earns his first finish in this one.”
Prediction: Klute wins by submission in the second round.
Sambath Khun (4-4) vs Skylar Sloan (1-1)
“Khun has eight fights under his belt compared to Sloan’s two. I think having more experience and more success against higher competition will be the difference.”
Prediction: Khun wins by unanimous decision.
Harley King (2-1) vs Peter Janssen (1-3)
“I think Harley will be too well-rounded for Peter. He comes from a solid gym at Hayabusa and has also won two straight.”
Prediction: King wins by unanimous decision.
Cole Smith (0-0) vs Dalton Middleton (0-0)
“With this being the debut for both fighters, it’s really a coin flip. We’ll see who wants it more.”
Prediction: Smith wins by submission in the second round.
