Each event, there will be a “guest predictor” who will offer their insight into the event and provide their predictions for each MMA bout.
For FLA 3, Brad Barrick (2-1) has stepped in to provide his predictions and analysis for the eight MMA bouts on the card.
After dropping his amateur debut, Barrick has since won back-to-back bouts to move over .500 for his amateur career, including his most recent victory over Brandon Labrecque at BFL 68. Stay tuned for a potential bout announcement for Barrick later this year.
Here are Barrick’s predictions for FLA 3:
Eric Wilson (7-10) vs. Morgan Rhynes (4-5): PRO Featherweight
“Wilson is a true veteran with a lot of fight experience.”
Prediction: Wilson wins via TKO.
Luc de Ste Croix (2-0) vs. Jesse Heartz (2-0): AMATEUR Lightweight
“De Ste Croix handed me my only loss in MMA and he’s as tough as they come.”
Prediction: De Ste Croix wins via submission.
Maria Clinton (1-0) vs. Sarah Wilson (0-0): AMATEUR Women’s Flyweight
“Wilson is a bit of an unknown with this being her debut, but Clinton is very athletic and also has her debut out of the way.”
Prediction: Clinton wins via decision.
Levi Nickerson (0-1) vs. Jesse Opper (0-0): AMATEUR Featherweight
“Nickerson has more experience than his opponent, which will help him take the fight where he wants to.”
Prediction: Nickerson wins via decision.
Rob Logan (1-1) vs. Owen Warren (0-0): AMATEUR 215 pounds
“Logan is a bigger man with more fight experience, and I know the heavyweights on the east coast like to throw.”
Prediction: Logan wins via knockout.
Dawson Sampson (0-0) vs. Dylan Sheppard (0-0): AMATEUR 140 pounds
“With two amateurs both 0-0, it looks evenly-matched, so a decision is where I’d place my money if I was a betting man.”
Prediction: Sheppard wins via decision.
Mike Macleod (0-0) vs. Fabian Ixkes (1-0): AMATEUR 215 pounds
“Again, east coast heavyweights leave it all in the cage.”
Prediction: Ixkes wins via knockout.
Cam Nelson (0-0) vs. Simon McKeon (0-0): AMATEUR Welterweight
“Again, with two evenly-matched amateurs, I expect it to go the distance.”
Prediction: Nelson wins via decision.
