Rankings & fighters: Synced from the Octagon API and refreshed on a scheduled basis.
Events: UFC and major MMA event cards are sourced from the ESPN Sports API.
Aggregated news: Curated from public MMA news APIs and attributed to the original publisher via a “via [hostname]” link.
Images: Rights-safe pipeline using existing CMS images, Wikimedia Commons (CC-BY/CC-BY-SA/CC0/public domain with attribution), Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay, or a branded placeholder.

Accuracy & fairness

We aim for factual precision and consistency across rankings, fighter records, and event results. When errors are found, corrected data is propagated through the site on the next sync cycle. We do not fabricate fight records, rankings, or event outcomes.

AI & search crawler access

MMA Empire welcomes search and AI crawlers — Googlebot, Bingbot, GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, ChatGPT-User, Google-Extended, and CCBot — and publishes structured data, sitemaps, and an llms.txt file to help AI systems understand and cite our content accurately.
