Each event, there will be a “guest predictor” who will offer their insight into the event and provide their predictions for each MMA bout.
For Mamba Fight Night 8, Josh Kwiatkowski has stepped in to provide his predictions and analysis for the six MMA bouts on the card.
Kwiatkowski holds a professional record of 4-2, and is currently riding a three-fight win streak, with his most recent victory being over Randy Mahon at Rise FC 5. Expect to see Kwiatkowski back in action early in the spring.
Here are Kwiatkowski’s predictions for Mamba Fight Night 8:
Gagan Gill (2-1) vs Grant Gorsegner (0-1): PRO Lightweight FIGHT PREVIEW
“In main event action, we have one of the most well-rounded 145ers around in Gill taking on the workhorse in American Gorsegner! I’m excited for this one and curious to see how Gorsegner comes out, but Gill’s guillotine is something I’ve seen him catch lots of people with. Gotta protect your neck!”
Prediction: Gill wins by submission in the second round.
Keanan Kellar (1-0) vs Johnny James (1-0): PRO Middleweight FIGHT PREVIEW
“Co-main event action with one of the most feared 185ers around as he takes on an up-and-coming fighter from ATT Portland! Both great fighters, but I think Kellar’s size and skills will be too much for most people at 185.”
Prediction: Kellar wins by submission in the first round.
Blake Bird (1-2) vs Bernie Liu (1-1): AMATEUR Lightweight
“Liu looked scary in his last fight with a quick knockout of a tough customer, so all day Bernie with a big finish win!”
Prediction: Liu wins by knockout in the first round.
Shawn Sitthikoun (2-2) vs Joe Westbrook (2-3): AMATEUR Welterweight FIGHT PREVIEW
“Sitthikoun has a win over Bernie Liu, which is no easy task, and I think him fighting on his team’s show is going to be incentive enough to go kick some ass.”
Prediction: Sitthikoun wins by unanimous decision.
Jag Bhullar (0-0) vs Karanvir Thiara (0-0): AMATEUR Heavyweight
“I think Bhullar has his way with Thiara in a wrestling clinic and finds a finish one way or another.”
Prediction: Bhullar wins by TKO in the first round.
Bruce Hamilton (0-0) vs Robert McConnell (0-0): AMATEUR Bantamweight
“Two guys making their amateur debuts, but I think Hamilton is going to pull off a dominant decision win, just coming from the lions den that is Checkmat.”
Prediction: Hamilton wins by unanimous decision.
