Each event, there will be a “guest predictor” who will offer their insight into the event and provide their predictions for each MMA bout.
Knoepfli holds an amateur record of 5-3, which includes impressive wins over Grey Patino (twice) and Samuel Michel. His most recent victory came at XFFC 17, where he submitted Adam Williams just 26 seconds into the first round. Being from Grande Prairie, Knoepfli will be able to offer a detailed look into many of the local fighters on the card.
Here are Knoepfli’s predictions for XFFC 20:
Steve Mac Donald (2-0) vs Devon Neis (6-5): Fight Preview
“I don’t know much about these two, especially with Mac Donald having only two fights. I think the experience of Neis has him winning.”
Prediction: Neis wins by unanimous decision.
Craig Hudson (5-6) vs Justin Doege (1-0): Fight Preview
This is an interesting fight with Doege only having one other professional fight. And with Hudson fighting top-level guys in this division, I expect the first round to be fireworks, considering it looks like both gentlemen only have the gas tank for one round. Anything deeper than that and it’s going to be a long night for both of them.
Prediction: Doege wins by submission in the second round.
Cassian Alexy (4-3) vs Lee Hagel (1-2)
“Even though he’s been out of the game for a little bit, I think Alexy’s going to do just a little more than Hagel in this fight.”
Prediction: Alexy wins by unanimous decision.
Conrad Krzysztan (3-3) vs Thomas Richardson (5-1): Fight Preview
“Both guys are very good on the ground. I know this is Krzysztan’s first fight at 170 pounds, but I think he’s going to be the stronger and better striker when it comes down to it. And watching Richardson’s last fight, I was not really impressed.”
Prediction: Krzysztan wins by TKO in the second round.
Blake Sigvaldason (1-1) vs Daryl St. Rose (3-1)
“This is not a good match up for Sigvaldason. I think he’s going to have a long night of St. Rose taking him down, laying on him, and landing a little bit of ground and pound, but not enough to put him away.”
Prediction: St. Rose wins by unanimous decision.
Isaiah Metituk (4-3) vs Connor Krebs (2-1): Audio Interview
“i know these boys have been talking a lot of smack to each other, but it’s time to shake your d$@!s boys. This pissing match is over and it’s time to fight! With Metituk coming off a tough loss, I think he will be hungry for a W.”
Prediction: Metituk wins by submission in the third round.
Brock Holmes (2-2) vs Regan Runningrabbit (2-1)
“This is going to be a interesting matchup. I think it’ll come down to who’s the better striker. RunningRabbit is a durable dude who can take a punch and can throw wicked kicks. Holmes can be on or off, so depending how he shows up on fight day, that will determine the way the fight goes.”
Prediction: RunningRabbit wins by TKO in the second round.
Amanda Rogers (0-0) vs Maria Djukic (0-0)
“Both are 0-0 fighters with kickboxing experience, and both are coming out of good gyms in Champion Gym and Toshido MMA. I think we are in for a night of good women’s amateur MMA, and I think it’s going to go the distance, with Rogers coming out on top.”
Prediction: Rogers wins by split decision.
Joe Westbrook (1-3) vs Brody Zariwny (0-3)
“I know I’m going to be gambling with this one, but I’m going to give it to the underdog,”
Prediction: Zariwny wins by split decision.
Andrew Hanson (0-0) vs Austin Smith (1-0)
“Ihave no clue who these guys are, so I am flipping a coin.”
Prediction: Smith wins by knockout in the first round.
