Mac Laursen ready to put on a show in long-awaited hometown main event at Absolute MMA 2

Mac Laursen (2-1) tests skills with Lee Gaudet (5-7) in the Absolute MMA 2 main event at welterweight on Saturday night in Calgary, Alta.

It’s a long-awaited hometown fight for the Calgary native that Laursen said he’s already received a warm enough partisan reception for. He said certain level of pressure to make a statement accompanies that, but the focus solely becomes on the task at hand.

“I know Lee’s a veteran in the game. He’s a good ground game specialist. He’s got five wins, all wins by submission. But I’m ready, man,” said Laursen in an interview with MMA Empire.

“I know he’s a veteran, but I’m young and hungry. Been training my ass off and I’m ready, man. I’m ready to show what Big Mac is all about.”
