Predictions: BTC 15

BTC 15 goes down tomorrow night and features a fantastic lightweight main event between Adam Assenza and Dominic Clark. In the co-main event slot, the winner of the $10k BTC bantamweight tournament will be crowned as undefeated prospects Vinny Dias and Albaraa Atmeh square off. Check out who I’ve picked for these two fights and the rest of the card below.

Adam Assenza (15-6) vs. Dominic Clark (15-11): PRO Lightweight

You couldn’t ask for a better main event! Coming off a win in his last fight, Clark is an explosive fighter with some high-level experience. However, I think the momentum Assenza has right now is going to push him to his sixth straight win. Assenza has shown some extremely technical ability in all areas, but I see him finding success on the feet in this outing.

Prediction: Assenza wins via TKO.

Vinny Dias (3-0) vs. Albaraa Atmeh (2-0): PRO Bantamweight $10k tournament final**

In his last outing, Dias showed some outstanding cardio and proved he’s super high-level everywhere in his decision win over Albaraa’s brother, Izzudeen. Much like his brother, Albaraa is a super high-level striker, but I think the pace, output and physical strength of Dias will be too much in this one.

Prediction: Dias wins via decision.

Dorian Dokaj (2-0) vs. Ryan Loder (2-0): PRO Middleweight

This is a great matchup. No matter the outcome, I see both of these guys having bright futures. I think Loder’s wrestling pedigree will be the difference-maker in this one. The former division one wrestler trains out of Team Alpha Male and continues to improve his standup to help round out his game. This could easily be the fight of the night if both guys are on their game.

Prediction: Loder wins via decision.

Mike Meade (0-0) vs. Sterling Michetti (0-0): PRO Heavyweight

This is a heavyweight fight, so it’s already more unpredictable. It’s a tough one to pick. Both fighters are making their pro debut, neither guy has fought since 2019 and they both spent most of their amateur careers at 205 pounds or less. I’m going to lean towards Michetti because I’m a big believer in what the Shaved Bears team is doing. I think the guys around him will give him an edge in this one.

Prediction: Michetti wins via decision.

Nate Small (1-1) vs. Blair West (0-0): PRO Bantamweight

Small is a well-rounded fighter with some really good takedown defence. He’s coming off a tough loss against one of Canada’s top prospects, but I think he’ll bounce back in this one. It’s been over five years since West has stepped into the cage, so I have to favour the younger, more active fighter.

Prediction: Small wins via TKO.

Jarred Dumond (0-0) vs. Broderick Rene (0-2): PRO Lightweight

This is a good matchup for Dumond in his pro debut. Rene is tough but seemed to get a little carried away in his two pro fights. Dumond has a great team behind him in Niagara Top Team and trains with some really high-level fighters. I see Dumond staying composed in this fight, wearing his opponent down and picking up a finish.

Prediction: Dumond wins via TKO.
