Every month, MMA Empire will bring you a comprehensive list of any and all Canadian fighters who will be competing in MMA events outside Canada. Check back every week to keep up to date with all the results.
October saw Canadians go a respectable 7-4 on the month. Unfortunately, November is looking a little sparse for high-level Canadians, but we’ll still see some solid action and a good number of amateurs.
Sparse months are part of the rhythm — October's 7-4 ledger was always going to be followed by a quieter stretch, and November's load shifts to the amateur regional circuit where the next wave builds its records. The one exception: Aubin-Mercier's PFL final, which gave the month its headline.

Dead Serious 45 – New York – Nov. 5
TV:
155 lbs – Ibrahim Simreen submits Donaven Levi by rear-naked choke in round one, 2:42.
***Simreen wins amateur lightweight title
Simreen's first-round rear-naked in New York was the month's earliest amateur belt — a submission title at 155 is exactly the kind of result that starts separating a prospect from the pack.
Coastal Combat 11 – Australia – Nov. 5
TV:
135 lbs – Markell Alaiasa defeats Jake Pitfield by knockout *Amateur*
Pitfield's knockout loss in Australia was the month's far-flung result — Coastal Combat cards have been a recurring spot for Canadian amateurs willing to travel, and losses there still feed a record honestly.
ONE Championship – Singapore – Nov. 18
TV: Prime Video
185 lbs – Christian Lee defeats Kiamrian Abbasov by TKO, elbows and punches, in round four, 4:20.
***Lee captures middleweight title
145 lbs – Stephen Loman defeats Bibiano Fernandes by unanimous decision.
Lee's fourth-round TKO of Abbasov headlined the month's biggest card — the welterweight title fight carried the night's largest stakes, and Canadian-adjacent names on ONE's Singapore cards keep the column's international thread alive.
CLIP Motor City Cage Fights 12 – Detroit – Nov. 18
TV:
125 lbs – Gavin Bonadonna defeats Robert Peterson by unanimous decision. *Amateur*
Bonadonna's decision in Detroit was the month's Midwest amateur result — Motor City cards have been a steady landing spot for Canadian fighters building records on the U.S. side of the border.
Brawl at Bourbon Street 87 – Illinois – Nov. 19
TV: MMAFutures.com
145 lbs – Antonie Tureaud defeats Kelton Sneve.
***Tureaud wins amateur featherweight title
Sneve's loss to Tureaud for the amateur featherweight title was the month's belt-level miss — title fights at this level are the credentials that carry a career, and losing one costs more than the loss column shows.
Maverick MMA 21 – Pennsylvania – Nov. 19
TV:
142 lbs – Tom Hinz defeats Olivier Poisson by unanimous decision.
***Hinz wins amateur 142-pound title
Poisson's decision loss to Hinz for the 142-pound title was the night's second Canadian title-fight miss — back-to-back amateur belt bouts going the other way is the kind of weekend a scene absorbs.
Gladius Fights 41 – New York – Nov. 19
TV:
185 lbs – Clayton Pye defeats Austin Saxer by unanimous decision.
***Pye wins amateur middleweight title
Pye's decision win for the amateur middleweight title gave the night a Canadian belt — New York's regional cards keep producing these results, and a title at 185 is the kind of credential a career gets built on.
Combat Zone 78 – New Hampshire – Nov. 19
TV:
185 lbs – Cedric Lochard submits Robert Ovalle by rear-naked choke in round one, 2:58.
Lochard's first-round rear-naked in New Hampshire was the month's cleanest amateur finish — submissions under three minutes on regional cards are the tape a fighter needs to get noticed.
Bayfront Brawl 12 – Pennsylvania – Nov. 23
TV:
145 lbs – Nayimi Ferdaws defeats Dusty Shaffer via TKO in the second round.
***Ferdaws wins amateur featherweight title
Ferdaws's second-round TKO for the amateur featherweight title was the month's third Canadian belt — a finish-for-a-belt result on a Pennsylvania card is exactly the result the scene's been producing all year.
Professional Fighters League: 2022 Championship – New York – Nov. 25
TV: TSN
155 lbs – Olivier Aubin-Mercier defeats Stevie Ray via knockout at 4:40 of the second round.
***Aubin-Mercier wins lightweight title
145 lbs – Aspen Ladd defeats Julia Budd by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).
Aubin-Mercier's knockout of Ray to win the PFL lightweight championship was the month's defining Canadian result — a season that ended with a title, earned by finish in the final, is the kind of outcome that rewrites a fighter's standing in the division.
Proving Grounds Fights – Washington – Nov. 25
TV:
125 lbs – Cory Dea defeats Tyler Harry via TKO at 1:23 of the first round.
125 lbs – Jakob George defeated Mason Robbinett via unanimous decision.
Dea's first-round TKO and George's win in Washington rounded out the month's amateur ledger — Pacific Northwest cards have been a consistent outlet for Canadian fighters working the border circuit.
FLA 6
November's domestic cards — FLA, Samourai, MFL and Mamba — closed the month at home; Canada's home promotions kept producing the volume the international circuit draws from.
