Predictions: Pallas Athena WFC 2

Pallas Athena Women’s Fighting Championship is set for their second show as Pallas Athena WFC 2 goes down tomorrow night in Calgary, Alta. Much like their inaugural event, this card showcases some of the top up-and-coming prospects in women’s MMA. Check out my predictions for the card below.

Melissa Croden (3-1) vs. Cornelia Holm (5-4): PRO Women’s Bantamweight Title Bout**

Croden is taking that next step up in competition for this one as Holm has quite a bit of experience under her belt in relation to Croden’s past opponents. Croden has proven to be one of the more dangerous strikers in the women’s bantamweight division and I think Holm will really struggle with her range.

Prediction: Croden wins via decision.

Anastasia Nikolakakos (3-0) vs. Elisandra Ferreira (4-1): PRO Women’s Atomweight Title Bout** NIKOLAKAKOS PREVIEW, FERREIRA PREVIEW

Nikolakakos has yet to taste defeat in her MMA career as a professional and amateur. The only concern heading into this one for me is she hasn’t competed since 2018. While it may take her a little bit to get going, I think she gets the job done here.

Prediction: Nikolakakos wins via TKO.

Andy Nguyen (6-11) vs. Larissa Carvalho (3-1): PRO Women’s Strawweight

Nguyen, a true veteran of the combat sports scene, will be the most experienced test of Carvalho’s career. If Carvalho keeps it on the feet, I could see it being a competitive fight, but if she decides to grapple, I feel she should roll here.

Prediction: Carvalho wins via submission.

Jackie Maclean (2-1) vs. Weronika Eszer (0-1): PRO Women’s Flyweight

Although she’s 0-1 as a professional, Eszer had a 13-1 amateur career, which absolutely should not be overlooked. Maclean, however, comes out of one of the best gyms in Canada in Shaved Bears MMA and always comes to scrap. I could see this being a close fight.

Prediction: Maclean wins via decision.

Pavla Kladivova (1-0) vs. Lexi Rook (0-0): PRO Women’s Bantamweight

I’m not too familiar with either of these women, but Rook has that extensive amateur career you love to see in a young prospect, including experience on the IMMAF stage. I like her to pick up the win in her professional debut here.

Prediction: Rook wins via decision.

Maria Garcia (2-2) vs. Louise Hiller (0-0): PRO Women’s Bantamweight

Another pair that I’m not too familiar with, although Garcia does have a notable experience edge, both in number of fights and having competed on bigger stages like Invicta FC. I feel Garcia gives Hiller a rough professional debut here.

Prediction: Garcia wins via decision.

Allyse Cotterill (0-0) vs. Ako Murata (0-1): AMATEUR Women’s 110 pounds

It’s always tough to make a prediction when you have one fighter making their amateur debut like Cotterill is. But while I’ve yet to see her skillset, I’m going to side with her due to the massive height and reach advantage she’s going to have.

Prediction: Cotterill wins via decision.

Robyn Dunne (0-1) vs. Kerensky Fernandes (1-0): AMATEUR Women’s Strawweight

I don’t know too much of Fernandes expect that she comes out of a great gym in Great Britain Top Team. Dunne is as tough as they come, but I think Fernandes will be too much here.

Prediction: Fernandes wins via decision.

Ami Lyczewski (1-1) vs. Ciara McRae (0-0): AMATEUR Women’s Strawweight

Another one with a fighter making their amateur debut. Without knowing much about McRae, I have to side with Lyczewski due to having already experienced being in the cage.

Prediction: Lyczewski wins via decision.
