The former Havoc FC heavyweight champion, Wells has taken on the best of the best in Western Canada’s heavyweight division. Always proving to be a tough out, Wells holds notable wins over Devon Neis and Josh Heinz.
Here are Wells’ predictions for Unified MMA 43:
Shane Campbell (21-8) vs. Kyle Prepolec (15-7): PRO 165 pounds FIGHT PREVIEW
“Campbell looking to get back in the UFC. A strong finish here could be the fight to do it.”
Prediction: Campbell wins via TKO.
KB Bhullar (10-3) vs. Strahinja Gavrilovic (8-5): PRO Middleweight
“Bhullar should pull off the win if he’s able to use his height and slight reach advantage in his favour. Probably one or two wins from getting called back up to DWCS or UFC undercard if they come to Canada.”
Prediction: Bhullar wins via decision.
Ryan Ford (22-5) vs. Dawond Pickney (18-15): PRO 175 pounds FIGHT PREVIEW
“Because it’s Ryan Ford fighting in Edmonton lol.”
Prediction: Ford wins via TKO.
Neal Anderson (10-4) vs. Lucas Neufeld (6-1): PRO Featherweight ANDERSON PREVIEW, NEUFELD PREVIEW
“Anderson was on a six-fight win streak before his loss to Hammo at Unified 40. He’ll be motivated to get back in the win column in front of the hometown crowd.”
Prediction: Anderson wins via decision.
Zack Powell (4-1) vs. Cole Campbell (4-3): PRO 175 pounds
“Campbell has a great ground game and should get the win if he can get it to the ground.”
Prediction: Campbell wins via submission.
Ali Charkie (1-1) vs. Sandeep Sran (0-0): PRO Middleweight
“This will come down to whether or not Charkie can get the fight to the ground. And he should be able to do that here.”
Prediction: Charkie wins via TKO.
Lorenzo Celis (1-1) vs. Mac Laursen (0-1): PRO Middleweight
“On paper, this should be an entertaining, stand-up war and could be a matter of who drops first. If Celis decides to mix in some takedowns, he could have an added edge.”
Prediction: Celis wins via TKO.
Mitch Wiles (3-2) vs. Tony Rojas (1-0): AMATEUR Flyweight
“Experience is certainly on the side of Wiles, but Rojas trains out of Shaved Bears MMA. It should be a competitive fight, but Wiles’ experience could be the deciding factor.”
Predicition: Wiles wins via decision.
Gabriel Brown (0-1) vs. Shane Bell (0-1): AMATEUR Flyweight
“Although still very young, Brown is getting the best of training at Shaved Bears. As long as he can avoid the takedowns of Bell, he will be in good position to earn his first win.”
Prediction: Brown wins via decision.
Connor Krebs (2-2-1) vs. Mike Roe (0-0): AMATEUR Lightweight
“With Roe making his debut, he’s kind of a wild car. In this case, you have to side with the much more experienced Krebs.”
Prediction: Krebs wins via TKO.
